About

Nick Ratsey PhotoAfter completing my Computer Science and Business Management degree at the University of York in the UK in 1999, I started out in the digital marketing industry as a Sales Engineer with the now Google owned, DoubleClick. At that point we were launching DoubleClick’s new Advertiser campaign management SaaS platform in EMEA. An incredibly busy few years followed as we launched new products in the Email, Search and Analytics verticals whilst moving across Europe looking to increase the company footprint.

After 4 years I was in need of a change and moved over to Asia to live in Sydney, Australia. There I began my association with Vodafone, where I was involved in developing their Mobile Advertising and Marketing propositions, first as an employee and latterly where they were a client.

Moving agency side I was able to put into practice all the knowledge and skills I had developed across the different sectors and areas of digital marketing, managing the accounts of key brands such as ING Direct and Discovery Channel Asia.

Following my entrepreneurial calling, I went on to set up a digital marketing communications business, The Orange Cow, working with clients such as Vodafone Australia, ING, 20th Century Fox and Nokia.

In the nearly 12 years I’ve been involved in the digital marketing industry, I’ve had the benefit and fortune to work with some of the largest blue chip companies and brands, developing and implementing digital communication strategies using a variety of digital channels including web, email, mobile and search.

Having moved back to the UK in late 2009, I worked on some great projects before setting up The Orange Cow in the UK in early 2011. If you would like to get in touch, then feel free to drop me a line on nick @ digitalponderings . com
